Decisions, decisions

We're officially in the third trimester! Wow. I've been told on a few occasions that I'm starting to pick up a pregnancy waddle. I think it's just because I'm wearing flats instead of heels :P Yep, total denial! I've been feeling great though. Some new and not so exciting changes - my belly now rests on my thighs when I sit, my belly button looks weirder by the day, getting off the couch or out of the car is definitely more challenging, I have that dark line running down the middle of my belly, and probably more than anything she's kicking like crazy - my little whitebelt! I asked the doctor if it's in response to a certain way I'm laying, food I'm eating, etc. but she said baby's movements are completely involuntary at this point. What a relief, I thought she was having the occasional panic attack or something, haha.

Here's the belly at 29 weeks:

Now that I'm into month 8, it's starting to feel like crunch time (especially with the holidays). Mom, Gail (mother in law), and Laura (sister in law) are planning the baby shower, Craig and I just finished buying the baby furniture, our childbirth classes start tomorrow! and I'm supposed to sign up for a breastfeeding class soon. Even though we've made a lot of progress, we still have a lot of decisions to make before the baby comes.

The most common question these days: "What are you going to name her?"

Wouldn't you like to know! I will, however, tell you that Craig and I each have our favorites and we'll definitely make a decision before we leave the hospital :) Craig had some fun with his mom and told her we were going with Mary Jane. Yes, after the plant ;P She was very polite and played along, but Craig finally let her off the hook. At Thanksgiving we talked about family/grandmother names. Believe it or not, these were our choices - Bertha (x 2!), Hedie, and Mamie. My mom couldn't remember her Japanese grandmother's name, but I do like the idea of passing on my Hawaiian middle name: Leleonalani. Just a few more months to decide!!

We also picked up the basinette at Thanksgiving, it's been in Craig's family for years!

As far as the baby's room, we finally agreed on a room and are eager to fill it! Craig's not looking forward to painting, especially after his big bathroom project, but he agrees it will be fun seeing everything come together once the furniture gets here. When we moved in the room was 4 different colors - lime green, bright blue, orange, and magenta. We quickly re-painted it the same brown we used in the office and mancave and now were thinking about a grey/lavender color. It's not fun having to paint the room again but I'm doing what I can to help out - prepping, spackling, and cleaning the walls/baseboards. Pictures soon!

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Tis the season to go shopping! Fingers crossed there's some good baby deals on Cyber Monday and before/after Christmas :)
