Our official due date!! Although cousin Mike says we should aim for 2/12/10, his 40th bday :) Considering I was 8lbs 8oz and 4 wks early (Craig was 8lbs 4oz!), my guess is that we'll be delivering in January. Then again, you never know...
It's been a pretty good pregnancy so far. I haven't been too sick but there have been waves of nausea and lots of food aversions. I'm sure most of this has to do with my new keen sense of smell. Probably the most frustrating is when I think I want something, cook it up, and ultimately can't eat it. A great example... I had been wanting to make this green bean salad with chicken. Sounds amazing, I spent a good hour preparing & cooking the meal, only to find out it didn't taste or smell appetizing at all. My solution: Eggs & toast, everytime. Luckily, this is occuring less often these days!
Traveling has also gone well since being pregnant. Already, the baby has been to Denver, San Diego, Annapolis, Pennsylvania, New York, St. Louis (4 times), and Seattle. Craig and I are headed on a cruise soon not to mention I want to visit all my buyers before Thanksgiving. That will add on Orlando, Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Dallas, Chicago, LA, San Diego, Bay Area, Seattle, and St. Louis (2 more times). My goal is to stop traveling completely after 28 weeks even though the doctor says I can travel up to 34 weeks (with a note). The flight attendants will be terrified of me, but as long as I remain low risk he doesn't see a problem with it. The way I see it, I'd rather waddle in AZ than through the airport, especially around the holidays!
My only dilemma so far has been clothing. I started filling out my tops better from the start (thank you mother nature!) but my pants are getting tight to the point it's just not comfortable anymore. Eventually I'll break down and buy the maternity stuff, but for now I'm all about long shirts and the belly band!
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes! Craig and I are extremely excited!! The Grandmas & Grandpas are beyond excited! We told them pretty early so it was just as torturous for them to wait the full 12 wks before telling anyone. Craig and I had a little fun telling our parents. We mailed them each thank you cards with an ultrasound picture: "Thank you for your patience, we are officially pregnant! Its still VERY early but congratulations Grandma & Grandpa!". Craig's parents called right away (they're good at checking their mail). My parents didn't call until after 9pm that night, even after we told them to check their mail!
