Babymoon!

Babymoon - A vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the many sleepless nights that usually accompany a newborn baby. The term babymoon comes from the more traditional term honeymoon, which is a vacation taken by a newlywed couple after their wedding ceremony.

Now you know... and yes it was necessary! We took a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk (the last stop was supposed to be St. Maarten but Tropical Storm Erika made us re-route to Turks & Caicos). Overall it was a wonderfully relaxing trip. Lots of time by the pool, on the beach, and eating of course! As I've been gaining weight, Craig has been leaning up. He looks great in these pictures and you can just start to see my bump :) I was 4 months pregnant when these were taken.


Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Launch 8/28/09 - We flew into Orlando the night before our cruise and stayed on Cocoa beach. The launch was supposed to happen on Wednesday 8/26/09 but ended up taking off on Friday at midnight. This is the view from our hotel. It lit up the sky like a sunrise but there was no sound until about 20 minutes later. Very cool!


Atlantis, Bahamas (and bump!). Atlantis reminded us of a Vegas hotel, over the top in every way...

We have our ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday, very exciting because we get to find out the sex of the baby :) More importantly, we find out if we have a healthy baby! We haven't bought anything yet, well except for this:


True it's probably not the most essential baby gear, but we got a great deal on it and definitely plan to do a lot of hiking after the baby's born. Mama's going to have to get back in shape!!
