All about family!

I had a team meeting last month in Annapolis, MD and made plans to visit family in Pennsylvania. I'm the worst at calling last minute and saying "I'm here! Are you free?" so I made sure to plan this one out. I finished work around noon on Friday morning and drove to Bethlehem to see Grandpa. It had been far too long since I saw him last so it was great to catch up and see where he was living these days. As it turns out, we watch a lot of the same TV shows and are both avid readers. Which reminds me, I still need to add Three Cups of Tea to my Amazon list...

I stayed the first night with my cousins Charlie & Kathryn. I had tried to plan a trip to New York when they got married last year but couldn't figure out how Craig and I would get from Somerset, PA to NYC. By the end of the night, Kathryn and I decided to give NYC the 1 day blitz and we were on the road by 9am the next morning. I've never spent time in the city so I was extremely excited!! We were on a mission: hit the MET, ride the subway, italian lunch, shopping, Central Park, Times Square, be back in time for family BBQ at 6pm. Amazingly, we did all this AND managed to stop by the store in time for the BBQ! What can I say, I had an amazing tour guide :)
