Little did we know until the flight home, what they really wanted was some beach time. Because to them, that's what California is all about! Good thing there was a wedding, because they also could not stop talking about Andrea the bride and her princess dress. The anticipation was tough...
But Allison was in awe when Andrea walked down the aisle!
She also couldn't get enough of the photo booth. When she wasn't dancing with daddy...
...she was rallying everyone she could for pictures.
Drew was a little more low key. She wouldn't dance with mom or dad, but somehow tutu got her on the dance floor for a little bit. Confession: Drew and I had a dance party by ourselves when we got back to the condo. That seemed to be more her style 💃
A month later we were all back together again in San Diego for Thanksgiving. I wasn't so sure about camping for Thanksgiving but when we arrived I realized this was Glamping! Our cabin was SO nice and we had a whole row of them to support the 19 people we were expecting for dinner. Ask the girls their favorite part and they'll say: air pillow!!
Of course, we had to get the girls to the beach this time. I had a Virtual Holiday 5K to get done so we made our own turkey trot out of it and headed to Mission Beach Thanksgiving morning. When we asked the girls what they were thankful for this year they said each other ❤️
We made 2 trips to Hotel Del Coronado. The first day was chilly so it was all about hot cocoa! By our last day it was 70 degrees and the girls were playing in the water. I was surprised that the water felt about the same temperature it does in the summer (Cold!) so the girls didn't mind it a bit. We packed a picnic lunch and Grandma & Papa even joined us awhile driving down from Riverside with Joyce & Jerry. A great way to end our Thanksgiving getaway!
