Havasupai...or not

Last month Craig and I were supposed to hike Havasupai, an absolutely stunning part of the Grand Canyon that is otherwise only accessible by helicopter or mule.


Need I say more? It's beautiful right?!

Cousin Nancy goes with a group every year so we planned to hike down with "the pro's" in mid May. Unfortunately, 2 weeks prior to the trip the Indian tribe announced the canyon would remain closed to the public until June 1st due to swine flu. No joke! We were so bummed... Planned this for nearly a year, bought a ton of gear for it, and no hike :( Better luck next year I guess... at least we're prepared now!!
