Beat the heat

It's that time if year when we look for ways to get out of town and away from the summer heat!  Time to burn my hotel points, rent cabins, & anxiously await our beach trip to San Diego.  

First up was a quick trip to Flagstaff

Then the Lowell Observatory to see Mars, Jupiter, & the full moon from the giant "tellscope" (as the girls say it).  We picked a good night!

Next up was one of our favorite spots up north, Mormon lake.  Here are the girls enjoying the view from our log cabin.

Then some hiking on Mormon lake mountain!  Look who's out of the baby backpack with a walking stick :)
