East Coast Part 2: Cape Cod & Boston

Monday, September 09, 2013

We figured if we were going to travel across the country with 2 toddlers, we may as well stay a week.  But where oh where to go... The last time we were out east we checked out Ocean City, NJ.  This time we decided to venture a little farther north and visit Cape Cod.  We found a cottage on vrbo.com.  It was a little rustic/dated but had everything we needed not to mention walking distance to Sea Street beach, an ice cream shoppe, and a playground!

Weirdest thing about Cape Cod: lots of forestry.  I was surprised we never saw the water from the road no matter what side of the Cape we were on.

Best part about Cape Cod:  the diversity! It was quiet, dare I say elderly, in the area we were staying - Dennisport.  Then we head up to Provincetown for whale watching and it was gay party central.  Martha's Vineyard had the most tourists & beautiful water!! The National Seashore was hands down the best beach and technically a national park so it was very well maintained.  The girls loved the low tide & tide pools :)
