Thirty is right around the corner for me but as with every birthday the actual day is not as important as who you spend it with. This year I am so grateful to have a group of close friends join Craig and I for a fabulous day of wine tasting in beautiful Sonoma!
We celebrated a month in advance at the 33rd annual Barrel Tasting festival, limo and all! It was like we were in college again, but classier :) Not only did we drink all day but the majority of us had an after party at the pool followed by a fabulous dinner (because unlike college we can actually afford it now) and even more drinking at the hotel bar. The girls were smart and went to bed before midnight, the boys however decided to embark on a mission to find the infamous hot dog cart and taco truck known in Sonoma for late night food. It worked out okay though because the boys were able to drive Andrea and I around to a few more wineries on Sunday. A few pics from throughout the day... Wineries: Francis Ford Coppola, Clos du Bois, Mazzocco, Talty, Dry Creek Vineyards, & Armida
Because Allison was spending quality time with grandma & grandpa at my godparents house in San Jose, Craig and I decided to head to Half Moon Bay for a quiet evening to ourselves. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate but we were still able to get a great meal at a wonderful Peruvian restaurant called La Costanera and a quick tour of the famous Ritz Half Moon Bay.
Overall it was a wonderful birthday with great friends and good food & wine. Everything a girl could ask for. And best of all, Allison was able to meet & spend some quality time with my godparents. Thanks to tutu (who brought Allison's walker as a carryon) Allison had a great time at the airport too.
