First dinner, then desert (pun intended)

Here's a group shot from Christmas Eve dinner. We're all still laughing from the white elephant exchange. The worst white elephant gift was a TV antenna, which will be obsolete later this month as we go all digital. Props to Laura for thinking of that one!:


After everyone left, Craig and I took some Christmas shots of our own...

The next morning (Christmas day) we went camping. Yes, you read right. Camping. We didn't head north, just extremely east of Phoenix in a little place called Queen Valley. My parents love it out there for all the remote desert scenery and of course ATV trails. The weather turned out to be a little more than we bargained for...both nights! Christmas day and night it rained and rained. Not exactly great camping weather but we got a fire started and endured it. The next night (and much to all our surprise) it snowed! Craig refused to admit it at first but then it really started coming down and there was no denying it. Here's us making the best of it:


The next morning turned out to be beautiful!! We got a couple great shots at sunset too.
