Okay, here it is... the update. I'm a little bummed that I didn't meet my 1 week deadline, but now that its officially a holiday weekend I'm out of excuses. I'll start where I left off (in July).

We got out of the heat by heading to Montana. Craig's family met us up there and we spent a week on Flathead Lake. It was absolutely beautiful! I found us a condo on Homeaway.com, it was perfect. So perfect, were actually talking about renting it again next year. Here are a couple highlights from the trip - Glacier National Park, kayaking on Lake McDonald, and of course Flathead Lake.

Skipping to September, we went camping this year for Craig's bday. It was a small group but we did plenty of drinking, hiking, not to mention Chef Craig made some amazing camp food. This was a formal campground, camp host and all, but it was nice having a general store nearby because (surprise, surprise) we needed more beer.

Vegas was the highlight of October. There's nothing quite like a family trip to sin city... My brother's girlfriend was turning 21 so off we went! Mom and dad convinced us all to "slum it" and stay downtown at the El Cortez. I was a little skeptical of the hotel but it was actually better than some of the older hotels on the strip (like Excalibur). That and you can't beat the $3 blackjack, steak & shrimp for $7.99, and of course the infamous light show on Fremont street. We took the birthday girl clubbin Friday night so she got to see both the old and NEW Vegas. Its so fun taking someone to Vegas who's never been there before!

Which brings us to today... Today it rained so it must officially be winter in Arizona. To celebrate Craig and I got a couch, leather ottoman, and a 12ft Christmas tree. Not your everyday purchases, but we needed all three (well at least the first two). The best part is that our living room is furnished and it only took 3 years for us to agree on the couch. Next on the list o' home improvements is painting. Hopefully it won't take another 3 years to agree on paint colors...
