...for pool volleyball and a new air conditioner! The day after we found that furniture Craig and I decided it was time to host our first pool volleyball game of the summer. It was Sunday and by the time everyone left we were so tired. Unfortunately, that was when we realized our upstairs A/C wasn't exactly cooling. We toughed it out and slept at a whopping 84 degrees (not easy). The A/C guy came two days later and sure enough, it needed to be replaced. Crankiness, fatigue, and fear of being "college poor" again was all I could think about. Craig was off most of the week so he had quite a few people come out for estimates. In total it was about a week later before we finally agreed on a contractor and replaced it. A $6800 set back. Ouch. I guess the good news it that we're more energy efficient now. We'll see how much SRP puts back in our pocket though...
We've had one other pool volleyball game that also ended with unfortunate news. Craig lost his wedding band either in the pool or somewhere in the backyard. He's often forgetful of where he leaves things so my guess is its around here somehwere. We haven't found it yet, but I want to give it a few months before replacing it. Its kind of a bummer because we both really liked his ring. In light of his profession and the beating we knew his ring would take, we decided to go with a tougher metal called Tungsten. It still looked like the day we bought it over a year later, not a single scratch. Hopefully it will turn up.
