So it's been awhile since I've posted anything.. I was doing a good job of at least one post per month, but needless to say I've been traveling a lot for work and trying to finalize the last of the wedding plans. Last week was a good week. I finally found a wedding invitation (again)because the first one I picked out was discontinued :( I also got a great group rate at a hotel right next to the wedding site. There's three great hotel options depending on what you want to spend and how close you want to be to downtown Tempe. March is considered part of Arizona's busy season so if you want a great rate make sure you book by January! There's a link on the right for the Tempe Town Lake area, check it out!
Here's some details on the hotels:
Country Inn & Suites (480) 858-9898 - approx. $189/night, $119 group rate, $129 for a suite! Includes airport shuttle, shuttle to/from the wedding, breakfast. Mention "MARWED" when booking, must book by 2/28/07, valid 3/30 - 4/1 before or after based on availability. If you have any problems, ask for Thomas Neel or let me know and I'll take care of it. This is the closest hotel to the wedding site.
Hampton Inn & Suites (480) 675-9799 - approx. $149/night. Includes airport shuttle, will shuttle to/from wedding on request (within 5 miles of hotel), breakfast. This hotel is down the street from the wedding, within a mile from the Country Inn & Suites.
Courtyard Marriott (480) 966-2800 - approx $279/night. No airport shuttle, but this hotel is in the heart of downtown Tempe and Mill Ave. This was the one I was hoping I could get a great group rate for but I got no love from the Marriott folks.
Other big news.... Craig and I are headed to Alaska this week for a 7 day cruise! We booked it a year ago so wedding or not, were going! There's about 30 of us, including my parents and godparents. I'll be sure to post pictures when we get back :)
