Craig and I decided to go on a last minute trip to Hawaii so that we could use my Hilton points before I lost my diamond status. We couldn't pass up a free (yes I said FREE!!) week in Hawaii so off we went. Craig of course saw this as an opportunity...
On our first full day, after a long day of hiking Diamondhead and walking the streets of Waikiki, we go back to our hotel room to get ready for dinner. Little did I know Craig had already planned a sunset dinner cruise within an hour of us getting back. We get ready and off we go to this wonderful steak and lobster dinner (yum!). Craig and I were sitting across from each other, Craig facing the water. He's watching the sun trying to time it just right so that he proposes at sunset. I'm talking away, eating dinner and all of a sudden we have to go up to the deck NOW. With Hawaii so close to the equator, the sun actually disappeared behind the clouds within minutes. Craig whisks me up to the deck and before I knew what was going on he was down on one knee. By that time I was surprised... and of course the answer was YES! Now here's the incredible part, after we were officially engaged another passenger on the boat comes up to us and asks for our email. She's a photographer and caught the whole thing!
We were engaged April 3, 2006 :)
